Job Description Summary
The Executive Counsel Cyber Security and Digital Technology will provide general advice and legal support to GE Vernova in connection with cyber security and digital technology. The role will be part of the new GE Vernova Global Law & Policy Headquarters team and will have the opportunity to build the legal risk strategy and compensating procedures for GE Vernova and work closely with functional and business colleagues on the readiness for Spin. This role will partner closely with the Chief Information & Product Security Officer for GE Vernova and report to the General Counsel for GE Vernova.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop the legal risk strategy in relation to cyber and digital technology
- Own governance, policy, & standards for cyber and digital technology related legal requirements across both internal (enterprise) and product/services technologies including participation and if required chairing key cross functional committees
- Maintain guidance for alignment to key industry & governmental legal policies impacting cyber, digital technology & infrastructure requirements
- Provide legal guidance on key intersections of cyber and business process areas introducing business risk (e.g. sourcing, incident response, data privacy, IP, data sharing, etc.)
- Lead advice in relation to the cyber and digital technology requirements in relation to strategic transactions including M&A.
- Provide counsel to the digital technology and cyber security organization on addressing insider threats, customer contracts, commercial agreements, all external cyber reporting and numerous holding statements related to cyber incidents internally and externally
- Provide people leadership and guidance for Senior Counsel, Privacy responsible for providing advisory support and services for GE Vernova businesses on data protection and privacy matters ensuring an integrated and coordinated approach to the legal risks in the areas of data protection, cyber and security
- Work closely with other Global Law & Policy teams including Sourcing, IP and Compliance.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Significant prior public cyber and digital technology experience.
- Experience of managing or handling data privacy would be helpful.

The salary range for this position is $170 - 350K USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a variable incentive compensation/long term incentive bonus of 35%.
