Machinist technicians are traveling technicians that perform work on steam turbines.Job Description
Qualifications: • Ability and willingness to accept all domestic and international assignments, including nuclear plant work

Desired Characteristics: Techs must operate or will be trained to operate all types of machine tools and balancing equipment, involving close tolerance work, intricate, set ups, and development. They must be able to diagnose and correct mechanical trouble on mechanical and electrical equipment or will be trained. They should be able to or be trained to completely disassemble, realign and reassemble steam turbine components, replacing or repairing the various parts as required. Included in these operations, among other things are: removing and reinstalling turbine wheels, rebucketing of rotors, nozzle scrapping, operate machine tools as necessary to repair parts, silver solder, brazing and red dye inspection as required. All of the above can be trained at a Learning Center. Do not have to have all of the skills above in order to apply.
