Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the business cycle- 3 year plan, budget, forecasts at each level of the organization. Define KPIs to measure the performance in all areas of the organization- mfg., R&D, eng, supply, commissioning. Analyze the performance and propose action plans to improve profitability and cash generation as well as corrective action plans as needed.
- Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within their discipline. May require strong commercial awareness, and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
- May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
- Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. Work is subject to functional policy objectives. Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business. Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects. High levels of evaluative judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Required Qualifications
- For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Finance & FP&A Operations. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
- For roles in USA - Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

Additional Job Description
This role will support two segments within Electrification Software, Manufacturing (MFG) and Power & Energy Resource Software (PERS). The Product and Strategy Finance Leader will be responsible for partnership with senior leaders in each segment, such as Product Management, Engineering and Sales to ensure rigorous capital allocation, measure impact of decisions, and drive execution to operating metrics. Furthermore she/he will need to successfully partner with global IT and Finance teams to ensure that the overall processes/systems infrastructure works as designed and all reporting business needs are properly fulfilled.

In this role she/he will translate concepts, develop strategy, implement change, create programs responsive to the external environment, and participate in cross-functional business and cultural development. Her/his main responsibilities will be:
- Lead the financial aspect of the annual Long Range Strategy plan, covering orders, revenue, operating profit, and free cash flow.
- Coordinate interlocks between Product, Engineering and Commercial teams to ensure rigorous analysis supports the Long Range Strategy
- Create operational targets to measure success of key initiatives within the Long Range Strategy
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for the Product Management function. Partner with Engineering and Commercial to link critical data elements across all functions and create shared reviews.
- Support Product Management and Engineering in annual initiative-level planning
- Lead the preparation of business cases to justify key investment decisions. Responsible for creating an overall framework and coaching other finance peers through specific business case preparation.
- Analyze peer company financials to identify benchmarks and provide perspectives to GE Digital leadership
- Lead selected Strategic initiatives
- Provide financial oversight to analyze and control product costs such as third party spend with cloud and other software providers
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
10 years of Finance experience
Significant experience in a variety of finance disciplines
Desired Characteristics:
Master’s degree in Business Administration or Finance is preferred, or graduate of GE Financial Leadership Programs
Strong knowledge of ESW software products and capabilities
Strong industry knowledge
Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure
