As a member of the Technical Training & Development team, you will be an active contributor to the development of our employees’ competencies, capacity, and proficiency to support and grow the primary differentiator between Steam Power and competitors: our people. This role will have the overall responsibility for implementing our competency management processes and structures, systems (CMT), related training and support, and the competence assurance assessments.

Establish yourself as a subject matter expert by demonstrating expertise in identification and management of core and advanced competencies for our technical roles through collaboration with key segment stakeholders.

Who You Are:

- You have experience with developing and applying learning solutions to support established business priorities and goals, along with demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and prioritize demands, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and deliver results.
- You have advanced experience with development and implementation of competency matrices for technical field roles within a formal Competency Management System, adult learning principles and concepts, and project management.
Your Role:
- Responsible for the Competency Management Tool, including managing the enhancement list (RPWs), maintenance, and new releases
- Responsible for the Competency Management process, including Competency related quality documentation, processes, and regular assessments
- Work with segment and technology leaders to develop and maintain roles and competency requirements
- Manage the technical Certification processes
- Qualified and available to support training function (ADDIE) during periods of peak demand
- Responsible for CMT User Guides, training courses, and end-user support as needed
- Responsible for managing online courses within GE Learning, including working with the Corporate GE Learning team to upload new course content and update existing courses.
- Granting course completion in GE Learning for technical courses
- Establish and maintain a formal Equivalency Evaluation process for the technical programs
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- 6 years of professional experience leading a global learning program
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience implementing adult learning theories and instructional design models
- English proficiency required
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong leader able to work collaboratively and cross-organizationally with domestic and international stakeholders
- Proven performance and experience within the commercial power industry
- Experience in coordinating/implementing project plans
- Experience with ServiceMax
- Knowledge of/experience developing AICC/SCORM compliant training
