Job At A Glance*
Physical infrastructure — factories, power plants, bridges, etc. — is an important part of our global economy. Given both geopolitical and macroeconomic trends, the importance of investing in that infrastructure has never been higher. But this infrastructure is aging, and building from scratch is massively expensive. The need to maintain and extend the life of these assets, therefore, has never been higher.
Gecko Robotics' Supply & Sustainability team is responsible for ensuring that there is a sufficient fleet of robots to support all departments across the organization. As an integral member of this team, the Inventory Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Gecko's global component inventory. This responsibility includes processes, strategies, implementation of the WMS, as well as the overall accuracy and distribution of the inventory.
What You Will Do
- Directly oversee component inventory across all Gecko Robotics locations including receipts, fulfillment, stock transfers, and accuracy
- Create, implement, and manage inventory related processes and procedures
- Tactically distribute inventory to various teams in order to support business operations
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate tracking of inventory usage, value, and accuracy
- Collaborate with Engineering and Supply in order to define critical materials and actively implements planning strategies to avoid stock outs
- Assume full responsibility of optimizing inventory across multiple global Gecko Robotics locations
- Collaborates with IT in order to facilitate optimal utilization of the NetSuite WMS module, while supporting the use of the ERP to ensure proper inventory management at optimal economics
What Gecko Is Looking For
- Experience working with software platforms including WMS, Excel/Google Sheets, etc..
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate with large amounts of data and prioritize activities accordingly
- Experience working with cross functional teams and being able to directly work with stakeholders to fulfill requests, uncover issues, and work toward resolutions
- Experience working with logistics partners to enhance operational efficiencies
- Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment
Preferred Skills
- Technical Degree / Technical Background
- Experience with WMS operations (preferably NetSuite WMS)
- In-factory operations experience
- Formal process methodology experience (i.e. SixSigma, Agile Methodology, LEAN)
- Familiarity and competence with various project/program related management software tools such as Jira, Confluence, Google Docs, and/or Excel
