Performs and is efficient in 3D quantitative medical imaging. Performs quantitative assessment of images that result in new or more cost effective diagnostic approaches. Delivers valid, clinically relevant visualization of medical imaging data on a system wide basis. Performs CT and MRI procedures to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize customer satisfaction. Facilitates communication horizontally with the functional area and across Radiology Services.
Job Duties
- Performs all functions of the 3D Lab Technologist.
- Performs on-screen 3D post-processing of CT and MRI data in a variety of dimensions to create images that assist with exam interpretation.
- Processes CT and MRI studies on-screen in a computer lab environment including but not limited to Neuro, Thoracic, Abdominal and extremity procedures.
- Proficiently operates dedicated post-processing software to achieve high quality on-screen images through set protocols.
- Enters necessary data into RIS, PACS, and any related 3D Lab software.
- Diagnoses problems with 3D Lab software and hardware and reports issues and downtime to the IT and Radiology IT Help Desk as well as 3D Lab Team Leader within a timely manner.
- Participates in staff meetings, educational training of technologists, students, and any other new employees.
- Defines and identifies all imaging procedures.
- Observes and reports appropriate supply levels to responsible personnel.
- Ability to select and transfer data to appropriate IP addresses.
