Purpose Statement
To support the goals and vision of Gemini Incorporated by directing and managing product line operations with responsibilities for safety, quality, delivery, cost, member development, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

- Manages implementation of strategy in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls, and plant performance measures.
- Manages material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.
- Manages policy deployment in areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost/lean manufacturing, customer satisfaction, and employee relations.
- Actively participate in and promote a Continuous Improvement culture within the plant.
- Review plant performance against operating plans and forecasts to meet required customer service levels.
- Provides leadership regarding employee relations and development through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
- Actively develops people to take on greater responsibility.
- Support new employee orientation and develop a culture that welcomes new employees.
- Effectively manage capital investments, operating expenses, staffing, and wages.
- Manages the smooth introduction of new products to manufacturing.
- Maintain plant equipment; partner with maintenance to replace or adjust existing equipment.
- Pursue and support a culture that values diversity.
- Drive discipline regarding shop floor organization and cleanliness.
- Models and provides leadership regarding safety and environmental rules and regulations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong demonstration of value stream management and collaboration skillset.
- Strong people leadership, coaching, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing methods and techniques.
- Must be highly organized with the ability to perform multiple tasks and priorities.
- Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
- Knowledge of production scheduling practices.
- Must have strong computer skills, particularly in shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control and project management applications.
- Ability to influence and adapt to continuous improvement driven change within the plant.
Qualifications – Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, business or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in operations, production leadership, maintenance or related experience preferred OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience with demonstrated successful performance totaling 10 or more years.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
- Must be willing to consistently assist employees on the shop floor to build teamwork, participate in continuous improvement events and meet production schedules.
