Job Description
The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the procurement operations of our dental practices. You will work closely with various stakeholders to analyze procurement data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve supply chain efficiency. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive effective procurement strategies.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Analyze historical procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Use data to make informed procurement decisions.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms, prices, and agreements. Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular vendor evaluations.
- Cost Optimization: Develop and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality. Identify opportunities for bulk purchasing, contract compliance, and process efficiency.
- Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimal wastage. Implement best practices for inventory control and reorder points.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and legal regulations. Stay updated on industry trends and compliance requirements.
- Procurement Technology: Utilize procurement software and tools to streamline the procurement process, improve transparency, and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on procurement KPIs, cost savings, and performance metrics to management.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including finance, operations, and dental practice managers, to understand their procurement needs and challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field within a healthcare or dental setting.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with dental and healthcare procurement requirements is a plus.
