Summary: Genemarkers is a genomics-based testing company located in Kalamazoo, MI. The Company operates two divisions: Research and development (R&D) Testing Services and Clinical Testing Services. The R&D Testing Services division provides contract research testing services with an emphasis on the personal care market. The Clinical Testing Services division is CLIA certified to perform pharmacogenomics (PGx) and Covid-19 testing and is working on collaborative research studies to understand the genetics of opioid use disorder.
Position Description: The Company is growing and has an opening for a full-time Technical Sales Liaison with a focus on selling genomic testing services to the biotech, pharmaceutical and cannabinoid industries. The position will be responsible for generating leads and setting meetings for the R&D sales lead to achieve immediate and long-term business goals. This role requires flexibility, quick learning, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once. The ideal candidate will have true hunter mentality, be self-motivated, willing to learn and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate Genemarkers’ scientific service offerings to potential customers in a clear and professional manner
- Identify and qualify cold leads through strategic prospecting
- Conduct outreach to identified leads/contacts, communication Genemarkers’ service offerings via cold calling, emailing and social selling
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers through timely and professional verbal and written communication
- Follow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process
- Improve sales skills to increase sales success rates
- Engage in activities that drive sales leads into our R&D sales team and/or increase our pipeline
- Work with marketing and sales to execute campaigns for the R&D division
- Compile and enter information and data related to client and prospect interactions into Salesforce CRM timely, consistently and with required amount of detail. Ensure information is entered and maintained in additional Company system(s) as required
- Meet or exceed sales KPIs set by leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or scientific related field
- 1 years of sales experience preferably in the scientific industry
- Proven record of achieving results in a sales environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Advanced organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
