General Plumbing Supply is looking for a Credit and Collections Associate to join our Accounts Receivable Department based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Piscataway, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Processing credit applications
- Collect outstanding payments from clients, via telephone and/or email communication
- Reviewing status of client accounts and monitoring aging receivables
- Communicating directly with clients via email and phone to resolve any invoicing concerns and secure payments on a timely basis.
- Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
- Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
- Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers
- Other duties as assigned, as this department works together to manage team workload
Requirements
- Computer proficiency a must and experience with Eclipse ERP (or Epicor products) a plus. Strong Excel skills required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal, required as there is extensive client interaction in this role.
- Mathematical and logical deduction skills
- Familiarity with accounting software programs
