Employer Partnership Manager – Generation West Virginia
Generation West Virginia is looking for an Employer Partnership Manager. The Employer Partnership Manager (EPM) is a new position at Generation West Virginia with room for growth. The EPM will collaborate closely with GWV program teams to develop and lead a plan to effectively engage employers in the multiple program opportunities at GWV, including NewForce, Career Connector, and the Fellowship. The EPM will work with and grow our network of employers across the state, raising awareness and engaging partners to help further our mission of attracting, retaining, and advancing young people in the Mountain State. The EPM will have an opportunity to develop strategies and inform the build out of a team in order to meet the goals of various GWV programs.
The EPM will work closely with Program Directors, the Director of Operations and Executive Director and will report to the Operations Director.
While access to Charleston is important, this position can be done remotely, anywhere in West Virginia.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Employer Partnership Manager will:
Build and cultivate employer relationships throughout WV in order to pitch GWV programming to employers and serve as the first point of contact for employers wanting to engage in GWV programs
Work with program directors to gain specialized understandings of each program in order to effectively communicate with employers from a variety of fields, including the tech industry as it relates to NewForce
Work to understand the needs of employers in WV and communicate those in a way that informs GWV programs and initiatives, including career services offered
Identify needs of employers and ensure GWV’s programs are utilizing those findings to support the placement of West Virginians into available job opportunities
Consult with Program Directors to understand the employer recruitment needs for each program and work with them and the Communications and Outreach Manager to develop employer recruitment and communications strategies
Develop and implement strategies to meet the goals and activities of the recently developed Career Connector program and work with the Executive Director and Operations Director to inform staffing of the program
Work with Program Directors and the Communications and Outreach Manager to understand the needs of young people in WV and share those lessons with employers through trainings, webinars, etc.
Experience and Skills
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in outreach and building external partnerships
Experience with program development and management preferred
Experience in managing a program budget
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database experience, particularly in Salesforce, is preferred.
Nonprofit experience preferred

Collaborative: You understand that the best way to make our organization and programs successful is by working collaboratively with team members across the organization.
Forward-thinking: You care about and believe in West Virginia. You are honest about the challenges we face, but you know a future that reaches beyond “we’ve always done it this way” or “it’s good enough” is not only possible, but already happening.
Salary, Benefits and Where You’ll Work
The starting salary for this role is $50,000 – $55,000. GWV provides a great benefits package including, but not limited to, 100% of dental, vision, and health insurance, paid maternity/paternity/adoption leave, and flexible paid time off. GWV’s primary office is located in Charleston, West Virginia. However, as a statewide organization, we have staff located all across the state, and our day-to-day operations run remotely. While access to Charleston is important, this position can be done remotely, anywhere in West Virginia. Travel for this position will be required, and mileage reimbursement is available.
