School Age Childcare Assistant, Goodrich Children’s Center

Qualifications
Under the direction of the Site Director/After Care Supervisor, the Assistant is responsible for the following areas:
Monday thru Friday approximately 3:15p – 6:00p
Starting Pay
$11.82 - $13.05 per hour, based on experience

Site Director

Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Applicants must be personable, reliable and child-oriented.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Compliance to complete Central Registry Clearance.
Under the direction of the Site Director/After Care Supervisor, the Assistant is responsible for the following areas:
- Provide students with the appropriate leadership during the program.
- Maintain safety and ensure the welfare of all enrolled children, supervision of children during all activities.
- Engage and supervise of the children in the school age after care program.
- Day-to-day operation: including and maintaining a harmonious and efficient learning environment.
- Curriculum: implementation, and documentation of developmentally appropriate activities that includes, but in not limited to, crafts, games, self-directed play, physical activities, reading, quiet time, and/or offer an environment where homework is encouraged.
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with classroom teachers, coworkers, families and other staff.
- Attends all staff meetings and other work related functions as required.
- Maintaining an organized and clean classroom environment and ensure students conduct themselves appropriately.
- Follow and enforce all safety policies.
- Assist with students check in/out policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding all students.
- Willingness to complete 16 clock hours of annual professional development training and certification continuation in CPR/First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens.
