Job Skills / Requirements

Responsible for executing security services as outlined in site-specific Post Orders and as directed by Security Management.

Watches for irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contacts emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel as required.

Schedule: Saturdays 0930 - 1600

Must be Armed 

Compensation: $26.00 per hour

* Hiring Bonus of $500 paid out 90 days post-employment. Cannot have any no-shows, call-offs, or failure to complete reports.

- Answer or respond to alarms (on-site) as dispatched by site internal security management and investigate related disturbances. 
- Monitor entrance and departure of patrons and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of premises. 
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. 
- Request (using radio and/or other communication devices) dispatch of police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons. 
- Patrol campus (company provided vehicle)
- Warn persons of rule infractions or violations

Requirements: 

• Valid California Guard Card
• Powers to Arrest Certificate
• Valid Exposed Firearm Permit WITH Requel Certification up to date
• Valid CA Driver License
• AB 2880 certificates (we can assist)
• COVID Vaccine 

 

Physicality:
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) or patrol in the vehicle for an entire shift
- Bend, stretch, lift up to 25 lbs
- Be able to push with arms
- Be able to put arms over head
- Be able to reach for objects and grasp with both hands
- Sit for long periods of time or drive
- Be able to twist the body
- Be able to run or walk briskly for short periods of time or hurriedly respond
- Be able to move head/neck without impediment
