Sales Training Manager
ABOUT THE POSITION & TEAM
Genesys is committed to the success of our Sales teams across the globe by providing world class education. Reporting into the Senior Director, Global Sales Academy, the candidate will work with a team of global sales training managers with the goal of developing and deploying education around sales skills, process, tools, methodology and industry knowledge.
In strong collaboration with the Revenue Enablement team, Revenue Operations & other business functions, this candidate will design and deliver best in class learning experiences. The successful candidate has knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles, a passion for technology, and a proven track record of creating, managing and delivering top scoring trainings and/or enablement programs.
You’ll partner with us to create best-in-class onboarding and continuing education programs for our Go To Customer teams. The lessons you will deliver range from selling Genesys products and services to sales strategies and tools as well as selling soft skills.
Our emphasis is on delivering quality content that is easy to consume and leaves your audience feeling confident in their skills and abilities as they engage with their customers.
Responsibilities
- Participate in content gathering to develop authentic knowledge about your story. You will attend meetings with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders as they share their requirements for training. You will participate by drawing out the training objective, the message and measure of success.
- Partner with content teams and cross functional experts to facilitate scalable education strategies.
- Ensure that the configuration/creation of all learning and supporting materials/medias (simulations, role plays, games etc.) required to deliver the training in partnership with global content teams and learning designers is done in accordance with our global standards for high quality Sales content.
- Maintain participant records (e.g., registration, test scores, evaluations, and attendance) and address issues that impact quality, compliance, and effectiveness for the organization.
- Measure and report training impact against associated education KPIs (ie. participation, productivity, close rate, ACV impact)
- Perform LMS Admins duties which includes updating records, communicating with vendors, compiling reports and data, and communicating performance metrics to leadership
- Project manage team priorities based on organizational goals and business needs
Required skills and experience.
- 5 years combined experience focused on techonology sales, sales enablement, project management and/or program delivery
- Proven track record of designing, building and delivering end-to-end complex training and/or education programs that drive business impact, at scale, in a global environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills as you work to build relationships with your stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Strong ability to represent concepts, as well as summarize and communicate complex ideas into a curriculum, with a sense of how sales professionals think, operate, and learn.
- Comfortable challenging the status quo and proposing new ways of looking at things.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
