Designer(s) (full-time, multiple openings) needed in New York, NY to collaborate on architecture and interior design projects for mixed-use, retail centers, aviation, and office building projects by developing conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction drawings. Create conceptual design packages for feasibility studies, projects, and competitions. Build 3D architectural and interior design models. Develop space planning concepts and generate design project documents, through programming and test fits. Anticipate and resolve complex technical and design issues as they arise during document preparation and construction administration by providing technical guidance and innovative solutions. Develop project documentation throughout the design and construction document phases. Develop architectural details to meet architectural design intent. Provide design support for completion and execution of design projects. Produce graphic presentations and 3D renderings. Present concept, schematic, and development design to clients via digitally formatted presentations and 3d printed models. Work with structural, mechanical consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives. Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples. Must have a Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field, plus two (2) years of design experience with the following: (1) 2D and 3D rendering and using Revit, Sketchup, Photoshop and Vray; (2) Producing construction documentation and details in AutoCAD and Revit; (3) Using InDesign and Illustrator to create client presentations conveying overall design concept and design development; (4) Working experience in mixed-use and office buildings including both building exterior and interior design layouts; (5) Producing in Revit: permit drawing sets including construction and furniture plans, finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, sections, and elevations; (6) Façade development (product and material specification) for retail centers and office buildings; (7) Reviewing consultants and fabricator’s shop drawings; (8) Coordination between architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), lighting, and structural consultants; (9) Creating 3D animation walkthroughs to visually convey the layout and design; AND 10) Developing the schematic design of the core and shell of a building, plus the lobby, curtain wall system, parking, elevator banks, core bathrooms and terraces. In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-bachelor’s degree design experience. Two (2) years of the five (5) years of progressive post-bachelor’s degree design experience must include experience with the following: (1) 2D and 3D rendering and using Revit, Sketchup, Photoshop and Vray; (2) Producing construction documentation and details in AutoCAD and Revit. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Incidental telecommuting may apply. The base salary range is $90,000 to $115,000 commensurate with relevant experience. In addition, standard benefits will be offered, and employees will be eligible for bonuses.
