Your Role
Gensler is currently seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist. This is a senior position within our team, requiring at least 15 total years of experience with five years of design industry experience. It spans both strategic and production work, and requires a thoughtful, proactive approach and strong project management and client relationship skills.
Marketing at Gensler is a communications-based discipline. We are not looking for digital marketers, SEO experts, or anyone focused on sales. We drive the development of qualifications, proposals, presentations, and other deliverables that help us secure b2b opportunities, both print documents and electronic ones across multiple platforms. We look for a very high level of skill with InDesign, a good graphic eye, a love of the industry, a talent for telling stories about it, and an outstanding ability to partner with our principals and studio directors in your assigned business sector.
What You Will Do
- Work with principals, senior staff, and other marketing team members, as needed, to design, write, and produce proposals, presentations, and other marketing collateral in alignment with brand standards
- Participate in and champion strategy and planning sessions
- Develop new materials to support business development activities
- Perform multiple marketing efforts against rapid and frequent deadlines
- Gain comprehensive understanding of Gensler’s portfolio of work, practice areas, and firm wide capabilities
- Coordinate business development activities, including managing capital improvement program information, incoming leads, follow-up, and tracking of opportunity status
- Manage other responsibilities as assigned
- Be an integrated Marketing Team member
Your Qualifications
- 10-15 years of Marketing experience with at least 5 years of related professional experience in the design industry
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Passionate about design, communication, and client service
- Passionate about strategy and new business acquisition
- Strategic and creative
- Excellent communicator in both verbal and written communications
- Possess outstanding facilitation skills to build consensus in team settings
- Strong in project management and coordination skills
- Thrive in high volume, deadline driven environment
- Experience researching, designing, writing, and producing business proposals, presentations, and other collateral
- Superior writing skills, including ability to craft a story in a compelling manner
- Advanced InDesign skills
- Skill with information design and layout
- Experience researching, designing, writing, and producing business proposals, presentations, and other collateral
- Strong communication, organization, team building, and relationship management skills
- Strong client service skills
