Reporting to the Controller, the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable (A/P) Manager include building and leading a team of A/P specialists to monitor, control and process the Company’s cash disbursement cycle. The A/P Manager will also work closely with the operations team in order to ensure that the mental healthcare offices’ bills and expenses are paid accurately and timely. The A/P Manager will be a team-player with strong communication skills and superb attention to detail and must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving organization.

A/P Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in the A/P and cost accounting functions, and to the related accounting operations
- Recruit, train and lead a team of A/P specialists/technicians
- Proactively seek process improvement opportunities including maximizing the ERP and other automated tools to scale operations
- Design, implement & maintain effective A/P policies, procedures & controls
- Provide expertise on the processing, recording, and reporting of accounts payable transactions; review vendor invoices, 1099 reporting, and general ledger reports to ensure proper coding and authorization.
- Manage all vendor wire payments including setup and validating wire template in various bank accounts prior to payment and follow up with vendor to ensure all necessary bank information is obtained
- Manage the accounts payable and cost accounting monthly close process (calendar, reviews, reconciliations, analysis, reporting)

Education and Experience Requirements:
- BS in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- 5 years relevant experience, combination of Startup Company with rapid growth and/or Fortune 500 experience preferred
- 3 years supervising A/P staff
- Experience with Workday Financial Software is preferred
- Extensive hands-on A/P experience required, particularly in a multi-site retail or healthcare environment preferred
- System/ERP implementation experience preferred
- Ability to work under pressure, often in a deadline driven environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking skills concurrent with superior attention to detail
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of successfully managing staff and developing reporting
