What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Detailer/Inventory Photographer position at Georgetown Auto Sales?
We are looking for a head detailer that also will take pictures of our inventory, and assist our reconditioning director getting our inventory front line ready as soon as possible. This person should have knowledge and previous experience in automotive detail. You will be responsible for full details and quick details depending the condition of each vehicle when we get it in. Ensure each vehicle is clean (door jams, windows, headliners, trunk, vacuum.) Also debugging and washing the exterior. An experienced detailer knows the job and what dealerships look for, which is someone to get and keep their inventory looking front line ready, fully detailed, and also keeping buyers guides in windows as well. You will take direction from Upper sales management, and our reconditioning director, which will be your direct supervisor. Pay will be between 17-20 an hour depending on level of experience, hours are Monday-Satuday, with a weekday off. Hours are 8-5 with an hour for lunch. This job will require you to work outside in all types of weather conditions. In addition to detailing, and taking pictures, you will be checking other detailers work and making sure the work is up to par, and training them if it isn't. You are team leader of the detail department in a sense. You will also be giving our recon director recommendations on what chemicals and detail equipment we need to ensure we are efficient and quick as possible.
This position will not only be responsible for detailing our vehicles, they will also be tasked with taking pictures of our inventory, which comes first and is one of the most important jobs in the entire store. The pictures are the biggest part of this job and of our online showroom, which is our website. We want someone with experience in detail, because taking pictures all day isn't a full time job every day or hard to learn, and we can't take pictures until they are detailed. Also, when you take pictures, you will be responsible for the vehicle being "picture ready." before taking the pictures and if it isn't, you will need to get it picture ready. Nothing worse than taking pictures of a dirty car and display it for thousands to see online.
There will also be bonus levels for this position as well, we can discuss and explain the details of that in the interview.
If you feel this job is for you, and you have experience in detailing, and would be willing to take direction from management, please apply. Ask for Josh Brown, he is our reconditioning manager or email your resume over.
