Description
The major function of the Staff Accountant is to assist the Finance Director in all areas of Accounting for the institution by following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Budget Accounting- assist with building, and maintaining institutional budget

Cost Accounting- assists with reporting and analyzing the cost of the institution, subdepartments, programs, etc.

Financial Reporting- assist with internal and external reporting.

Assists with accounting for Capital Projects and maintaining Capital Inventories.

Coordination of Risk Management Services- liaison with Dept of Administrative Services for all property losses, general liability incidents, etc.

Monthly Bank/GL Reconciliations, Assist with Cash Flow analysis, Assist with Journal Entries, Assist with routine Accounting Functions

Performs other duties as assigned
*Criminal background check and drug screen must be cleared before any candidate may begin working.

Qualifications
Education:
Minimum- BBA-Accounting
Experience:
Preferred- 3 years of experience in Governmental Accounting
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Great attitude and works well with others
