What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager-Lawn & Garden position at Gerten Greenhouses and Garden Center, Inc?
Gertens Retail Store is looking for a Lawn & Garden Assistant Manager who will provide superior customer service and support the Department Managers in all operational duties related to the success of Gertens Retail Store.
As the Lawn and Garden Assistant Manager you will maintain product and display quality while adhering to company policies and procedures. You will also grow your specialized product knowledge of Flowers, Trees, and Plants to ensure customers receive the highest level of customer service in regard to their questions. You will also support other staff members and assist with scheduling and follow through of department checklists.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
1. One or more years of retail customer service and previous cash handling experience preferred.
2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
3. High school diploma or GED
Physical Requirements:
• Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently lift and/or move and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, and ability to adjust focus
