SUMMARY:
The Apprentice Electrician position is responsible for the efficient manufacture, fabrication, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and support operations of all company-supported electrical products and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manufacturing/Fabrication Responsibilities:
- Installation of Electrical Switchgear and Equipment on Power Vans, Control Vans, and Operator Control Modules
- Rebuilding of Used Electrical Switchgear and Equipment on Power Vans, Control Vans, and Operator Control Modules
- Layout and assembly of Electrical panels and Switchgear
- Electrical Inventory Responsibilities:
- Prepare complete materials and parts lists for posting to appropriate work orders
- Prepare parts, cord, and switchgear assemblies for shipping to customers and/or vendors
- Assist in maintaining, organizing, and other duties related to Electrical Inventory
Required Skills:

- Extensive Electrical experience required
- Verifiable apprenticeship hours preferred
- Strong Mechanical Background
- Strong Troubleshooting Skills
- Forklift Equipment Operations Background
- Soft starts, VFD’s and interlocking circuits
- Read, draw and understand electrical drawings (ex. Ladder diagrams) for control schematics
- Ability to understand and communicate with both verbal and written skills
- Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record

- Works in an efficient and effective manner
- Must be willing to travel as there may be some overnight field service work involved from time to time, this may also include traveling with very short notice at times.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
- Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 20 pounds.

- Carry (transport an object)/Push (press with steady force, thrust objects forward, downward, outward)/Pull (drag or tug objects)/Handle (seize, hold turn with hands)
- Turn/twist (move a body part in circular motion)/Bend (bend downward and forward by bending the spine at waist)/Reach (extend hands and arms in any direction)
- Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingers
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment.
- Consistently exposed to weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
