What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paper Cutting Operator position at Get Started Today 21?
Have you ever worked with paper, and do you like operating Cutting machines? How about earning 80 hours of paid vacation within your first year and working in a climate-controlled facility? The Cutter is the first step in the process of creating an envelope.
We are seeking a motivated candidate for our Erlanger, Kentucky facility just minutes from Cincinnati OH. A Cutter is responsible for setting up and operating cutting machinery equipped to cut paper into sheets.
WHAT DOES MY WORKDAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE?
- Reads order jacket to determine specifications of order to be cut.
- Installs dies, knives and/or blades in a variety of cutting equipment.
- Programs and makes adjustments to a variety of cutting equipment.
- Sets up and runs all cutting equipment in manufacturing.
- Performs minor maintenance tasks on machinery.
- Completes paperwork at end of tasks.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Manual dexterity
- Strong initiative
- Team player
- Ability to read a ruler
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all unites of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and to stand and walk regularly during a ten-hour shift.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
