ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Issues tooling work orders to tool room leader.
- Notifies tool room leader of any broken or replacement tooling.
- Inventories returned tooling after production run is complete.
- Inspects incoming and outgoing tooling for damage and wear.
- Document’s damage or wear found and reports it to the appropriate team leader and/or tool room lead person.
- Perform routine tool maintenance functions such as polishing, sharpening, venting screws and cleaning tools.
- Conducts periodic inventories on tooling in the area.
- Assists work center die setters/operators in the selection of proper tooling and substitute tools.
- Observes all basic plant safety rules and safe operating procedures for tool room equipment.
Under supervision, may operate hand polisher, surface grinder, lathe and other tool room equipment used to perform maintenance on tooling when properly trained.
Maintains tool prep area in a neat and orderly condition.
Participates as a member of the Manufacturing Team.
• Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies.
• Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members.
• Attends appropriate team meetings.
• As a member of the manufacturing team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction,
annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc.
• Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas of lack of cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the
team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues affecting cohesiveness.
• Actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.

Educational Requirements: HS diploma or GED equivalent required.
Technical Experience: Previous manufacturing experience preferred. MUST BE Mechanically Inclined. Industry Experience: Previous deep drawn stamping experience preferred.
Technical Competencies – specifically related to this position
Comprehension Skills: Ability to comprehend and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety procedures,
material cards, process sheets, and operating procedures.
Quality Assurance Skills: The ability to use a variety of inspection devices as required such as micrometers,
calipers, height gages, etc. Thorough understanding of the Hudson quality policy.
Blueprint Skills: The ability to interpret blueprints. Must be on resume.
Initiative: Self-motivated; ability to work with other team members.
Physical Requirements: Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job. Good manual dexterity and eye-hand
coordination. Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
