Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position purpose
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of imaging procedures, specializing in diagnostic medical ultrasound imaging.

Education: Graduate from an accredited ultrasound program required.
Experience: One (1) year experience of imaging required. GI or internal medicine office experience preferred.

- Accurately perform ultrasound exams ordered by physician and advanced level providers.
- Work independently while providing effective patient care.
- Chart and log completed ultrasound as required or necessary as well as complete associated paperwork.
- Provide supportive patient care to assist the nurses and physicians in meeting the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas
- Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and general population
- Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards to patients.
- Maintain the Imaging room in efficient and sanitary method as required by law. Immediately report any equipment failure or malfunction to physician, or office manager
- Perform all quality control checks, as prescribed
- Understand and practice proper use of all equipment; never operates equipment inconsistent with manufacturers instruction
- Collect, report and document data related to patient needs/emergencies and unusual patient and family behavior
- Maintain patient care areas with appropriate supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
