We are excited to announce a joint hiring opportunity between Gibby Group and Commodities Plus for a dynamic position that combines efforts to form a full-time role. As a part-time employee for both companies, you will play a crucial role in facilitating operations and maximizing efficiency. Reporting directly to the management of both companies. You will be responsible for a range of key responsibilities.
Your duties will include coordinating inbound and outbound commodity shipments, ensuring timely delivery and receipt at the transloading facility. Collaborating with merchandisers, sales teams, and personnel, you will oversee the smooth reception and loading of commodities, optimizing customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will strategize with customers to optimize their onsite commodity storage, maximizing throughput at the transloading facility. Your vigilance will extend to maintaining oversight of operations and commodity inventory levels at the facility.
A deep understanding of factors influencing commodity prices will empower you to offer informed advice to customers on timing and contract terms. Active engagement with existing and potential customers will be crucial in promoting and selling products and services, employing logical reasoning. Furthermore, you will conduct thorough cost-benefit and needs analyses to tailor solutions to customer requirements, fostering positive business relationships through regular client interactions and visits.
Your role will involve expanding the customer base through networking, referrals, and proactive outreach efforts, promptly resolving customer issues to enhance satisfaction levels, and meeting or exceeding sales targets within specified timeframes. You will prepare comprehensive reports on sales performance, customer feedback, market trends, and product/service opportunities, staying abreast of industry best practices and promotional strategies in commodity sales.
Maintaining regular communication with customers, negotiating, and procuring feed products, and addressing any discrepancies will be among your daily responsibilities. You will also coordinate with suppliers and partners to optimize logistics, including timely scheduling for prompt deliveries, and drive business growth through diligent effort and strategic initiatives.
In terms of qualifications and education requirements, we are seeking individuals with demonstrated knowledge and experience in the agriculture and commodity industries, along with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. A minimum of five years of sales experience, a valid Driver’s License, and proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (or equivalents) are essential. Strong customer service and relationship management skills, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, will be highly valued. Continuously striving for improvement through feedback and the ability to negotiate with others and resolve conflicts are also desirable skills.
This position requires working with customers at various locations, both indoors and outdoors, with a work schedule primarily on weekdays and flexibility to work weekends as needed.
