Gig Healthcare has an immediate need for a IMCU, RN in Dubuque, IA!
Job Details:
- 12 hour Night shifts
- 36 hours/week
- 13 week contract
- Start Date: 3/11/24
Types of patients within each respective Unit:
- 5 North M/S – Mainly medical patients including cardiology, post cath patients, Stroke (NIHSS), Pediatric age 1 year to 10 years, dialysis, general medical.
- 5 M/S (surgical) – All surgeries including but not limited to orthopedic, ENT, Eye, hysterectomies, neurosurgical backs and general surgery. Pediatric population greater than 10, and oncology patients.
- Acute Rehab Unit (ARU) – mostly neurological based rehabilitation like strokes, head trauma, brain tumors and the like, sometimes surgical patients who are deconditioned.
- Behavioral Health (Geropsych – age 55 and greater)
- ICU – pediatrics 31 days to 1 year, any critical patients and overflows when the other units are full.
Unit Bed/Patient Size:
- MS - 20 or 23 (2 units),
- ARU - 5(max10),
- Geropsych - 5(max9),
- ICU - 8(max 10)
N:P ratio:
- Generalized: 1:5
- ICU: 1:2 unless there are overflow, then could be up to 1:5.
Required Experience:
- MUST be willing & comfortable floating across multiple Units ranging from ICU, GeroPsych, MS & Acute Rehab (Unit details above)
- ICU experience
- Psych experience
- ACLS & PALS strongly encouraged
Required Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
