Gill Group, Inc. is currently seeking an enthusiastic Data Collection Clerk to join our expanding team at our Dexter, Missouri location. This position is not a remote position.
The purpose of the Data Collection Clerk is to be resourceful and efficient in finding market data for development. The Data Collection Clerk is an Entry Level, but Key Role here at Gill Group. We are looking for an individual who is dedicated to learning and has a passion for vertical movement within our company.
A successful Data Collection Clerk must be friendly and persuasive. You must be able to understand our clients’ requirements and present solutions that meet their needs. The ideal candidate will also be patient and cool-tempered to deal with aggressiveness and complaints.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS
· Cold Calling to Gather Information - As the primary function of a Data Collection Clerk, this responsibility involves finding and arranging market data from Economic Development, contacting Police Departments for crime statistics, as well as interview Tax Collectors, Assessors, Recorders and Zoning Departments.
· Telephone Communication – It is the Data Collection Clerk’s responsibility to call multiple agencies to obtain necessary information for the valuation of properties. A Data Collection Clerk will be on the phone 7 hours of their workday. You will be responsible for asking pertinent questions to obtain the required information.
· Team Communication – Data Collection Clerk must work directly with Senior staff regarding specific information needed for each property assigned to them for data compilation.
· Data Organization - It is the duty of Data Collection Clerk to organize the data compiled for properties assigned to them in a timely manner in the organization’s server / software.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· Proven experience as telemarketer or equivalent sales / customer service role.
· Working knowledge of relevant computer programs and telephone systems.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Proficient in English.
· Persistent and results oriented.
· Patient and able to manage rejection.
· Mathematical Skills.
· Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
· Firm grasp of digital data and file management systems.
· 1 year of Administrative / Office experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
