OBJECTIVE
As a member of the Gilson North Ave. Carousel Team, a Bindery and Finishing Tech II is responsible for the set-up, operation and preventative maintenance of the Polar cutting system, the Horizon collating system, the Horizon rotary die-cutting systems, and other related finishing equipment to consistently meet or exceed Project Carousel production requirements.
SUPERVISOR
Position reports to the Gilson North Ave. Bindery and Finishing Tech I and Director of Operations
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be able to work within a bindery and finishing crew an environment of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and efficiency
- Must be able read and comprehend job tickets for accuracy
REQUIREMENTS
- To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to fulfill each role and perform each responsibility listed above
- Must possess intimate knowledge of Project Carousel requirements, standard practices, required materials, techniques, and processes
- Must be able to consistently lift 25 lbs.
- Must be able to perform other Carousel job related duties
Education and Training Requirements
- High School degree or above, and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities
Experience
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Pace software
- Knowledge of bindery and finishing operations
Attitude
- Must be able to function in a supervised work environment
- Must possess a high degree of accuracy
- Must demonstrate a commitment to improvement and quality
Knowledge and Aptitude
- Working knowledge of Pace software
- Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
Communication Skills
- Communicate effectively with people from varied abilities, backgrounds, and cultures
- Must be able to professionally engage with customers, employees, and management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
