POSITION SUMMARY:
Giri Hotel Management is looking for a hands-on Innkeeper to join our team at the Chandler at the White Mountains, a Choice Hotels/Ascend property. Housing at the property will be provided, details will be discussed. The Innkeeper is responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel, day-to-day staff management and guest satisfaction. He / She will be an ambassador for the brand and your hotel, provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service culture, maximize operations and guest satisfaction and work closely with the hotel owners.
This is a select service hotel - breakfast is provided to our guests. Ensuring proper ordering, quality control and overall breakfast service excellence. Responsible for managing the hotel’s team and overall hotel targets to deliver an excellent guest experience. An Innkeeper is also required to manage profitability and guest satisfaction measures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· An expectation of at least 50 hours a week on the job
· Oversee the operational functions of the hotel, as per the organizational chart.
· Hold regular briefings and meetings with the team.
· Ensure full compliance to hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards.
· Lead all key property issues including capital projects, guest service concerns and refurbishment.
· Handling complaints and overseeing service recovery procedures.
· Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel's annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget.
Will inspect rooms and work hand in hand with the housekeeping and maintenance to provide a clean, maintenance-free room for our guests.
· Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
· Coaches, mentors and motivates team to maintain high-quality guest service and safety.
· Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotel and ownership.
· Deliver hotel budget goals and set other short and long-term strategic goals for the property.
· Developing improvement actions, carry out costs savings.
· Understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies
· Maximizing room yield and hotel revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs in conjunction with the Revenue Manager.
· Review monthly financial reporting for the owners and stake holders.
· Helping in the procurement of operating supplies and equipment and contracting with third-party vendors for essential equipment’s and services.
· Act as a final decision maker in hiring key staff.
· Overseeing and managing all departments and working closely with the team on a daily basis.
· Manage and develop the leadership team to ensure career progression and development.
· Take ownership of all guest complaints: respond timely to all reviews, both positive and critical.
· Lead in all aspects of business planning.
· Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
· Corporate client handling and taking part in new client acquisition along with the sales team whenever required.
· Assisting in residential sales as and when required and development with strong sales prospects.
· Responsible for safeguarding the quality of operations both (internal & external audits).
· Responsible for legalization, Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements.

Physical Requirements
· Ability to speak, hear and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace

Other Working Conditions
· Regular attendance in conformance with standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
· Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. A varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours may be expected, as business needs dictate.
· Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and mandatory meetings is required.
· Compliance with hotel rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facilities is required.
· Work may be performed in indoor and outdoor settings
· Varied weather conditions are expected
· Will work near moving or mechanical parts
· May work on high or precarious places
Supporting Functions
· In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based on the particular requirements of the hotel.
o Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
o Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.
o Assist other housekeeping staff to maintain clean and organized work and public areas.
Qualification Standards:
High School or equivalent education preferred
Experience
Prior hospitality management experience required.
Licenses or Certificates
ServSafe, CPO and Choice GM training will be required after being hired.
Grooming
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per hotel standards.
