Job Description :

Position Summary : Assist the camp directors and site managers by providing custodial care to facilities and sites. Provide customer service and support seasonal camp operations.

Hiring Salary : $15 an hour (30-36 hours a week when camp is in session)

Seasonal position starting June 8, 2021 and ending August 13, 2021

Key Responsibilities :

• Be responsible for maintaining the health and safety of campers, volunteers and staff thru custodial operations.
• Provide janitorial services including cleaning and sanitizing of buildings, latrines, and activity areas and emptying garbage.
• Follow all GSWISE cleaning protocols.
• Maintain organized and clean equipment, and supplies; report needed repairs.

Experience and Skills :

Position Requirements :

• At least 16 years of age.
• Mature, self-motivated individual who is able to work independently and with a wide variety of people.
• Possess interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to customer responsiveness.
• Be adaptable and display good judgement and decision making.
• Ability to assess visually the janitorial services needed to maintain desired conditions and meet GSWISE standards.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Display stamina and an ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physical demands and work environment regularly requires the employee to walk, hike, and work outdoors in wooded areas and on uneven natural paths.
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
• Willingness to subscribe to the philosophy of the Girl Scout program and enroll as a Girl Scout member.
• Provide own transportation to and from camp each day
