The Role:
We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to join our product team and help shape the future of our tools and services. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to explore new ideas, improve existing products, and refine our design systems. You will provide intuitive, delightful experiences to our user base – and your work will be seen daily by millions of developers around the world. Our team values collaboration, innovation, and a user-centered design approach to deliver exceptional user experiences.
We are committed to having an inclusive and authentic work environment where unique perspectives, skills, and backgrounds are celebrated. We work hard to foster diversity in our workplace and encourage people from all backgrounds to apply. Even if you don't meet 100% of the requirements, don't let self-filtering and imposter syndrome get in the way of a great fit. We would love to hear from you!
What You’ll Do:
- Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and design peers.
- Help to refine our visual design strategy, and contribute to the development of internal design systems.
- Design mockups, interactive prototypes, and user flows.
- Define and strategize ways to improve our design processes: from creation and optimization of templates, Figma libraries, and other tools to help communicate and deliver a richer User Experience.
- Participate in user interviews and review customer feedback to gain a deeper understanding of the goals, pain points and expectations of our users.
What You’ll Bring:
- 5 years professional experience in UI/UX design – preferably with product design experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in interaction design, product design, or UX, or equivalent experience.
- An impressive portfolio that illustrates your design proficiency from concept to completion.
- Deep understanding of interaction design patterns and systems, a critical eye for typography and layout, ability to use UX writing effectively, and strong user-centered design methods and techniques.
- Strong understanding of accessibility practices (WCAG, WAI)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate a problem and proposed solution.
- Prior experience designing and launching powerful, intuitive products, preferably for developers.
- Passion for iteration while giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma (preferred), InVision, and Sketch.
- Experience with HTML & CSS, and an understanding of Git version control.
- Experience contributing to or working with design systems.
About You:
- You are passionate about making development easier, more accessible, and inclusive.
- You have a product-centric mindset that you use to understand business needs. You have the technical and interpersonal skills to collaboratively design the scalable systems and engineering solutions that meet those needs.
- You employ strong senses of empathy and curiosity to build experiences that delight your users.
- You are comfortable operating in an environment that is loosely coupled, but tightly aligned towards a shared vision.
- You have the communication skills required to collaborate with and influence teams and individuals in order to drive initiatives forward without a strict top-down mandate.
How You’ll Be Rewarded:
