Associate Technical Manager – Your future position?
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Fragrance & Beauty Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety (RAPS). Based out of our offices in Ridgedale, New Jersey (US) (Preferred) or Ashford, Kent (UK) in the role of Associate Technical Manager, you will form part of the E-Doc Masters team set within the Global RAPS Digital Centre of Excellence. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, maintain and consult on customer bespoke documentation templates. Equally, being the data regulatory expert you will drive critical business impacts by playing a key role in leading new end-to-end digital project solutions. Through collaboration with the wider project teams, you will design and recommend data manipulation methodologies and approaches supportive of on-going and new digital project initiatives. You will have the experience of working within the fragrance/ FMCG industry in a unique data scientist role within the Regulatory Affairs function. Our wider global RAPS team, work collectively towards our overall purpose which is to ensure our products are safe for the consumer and the environment, through industry leadership in compliance and advocacy solutions, that enables growth of Givaudan & our Customers - so if you have a passion for Fragrance, Regulatory Affairs and Data and are a problem-solving, agile thinker with the ability to implement creative solutions that tackles business problems, look no further!

In this exciting role, you will:
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of electronic regulatory documentation templates.
  • Identify enhancements of existing solutions with the intent support critical business needs.
  • Build reusable tools to streamline the CoE operational efficiencies and speed and quality of service.
  • Lead Digital Projects supporting of RAPS and Givaudan Digital Strategy.
  • Lead data modelling initiatives from conceptualisation to implementations.
  • Have and further develop matrix understanding of regulations, data models and client requirements.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with hands-on experience of Microsoft Excel and VBA programming.
  • Experience in data mining, forecasting, simulation and /or predictive modelling is preferred.
  • Experience of working with SAP is preferred.
  • Strong communicator - Articulate and present proposals to senior management.
  • Operate well in a multi-dimensional and rapid changing environment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with key stakeholders.

Your professional profile includes:
  • University Degree in scientific or technical degree, preferably in Data Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, Regulatory or Toxicology or related degree (i.e. Engineering).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a Data Science role (within Regulatory Affairs or Product Safety functions in the FMCG industry is preferred).
  • Relentless & creative problem solving to deliver in a complex governance environment.
  • Fast learner with an advanced experience of Microsoft Excel and VBA and other software programmes.
  • Outstanding risk management and "get things done" mind-set.
  • Knowledge of the FMCG industry and Data Science.
  • Ability to interact at multiple levels.
  • Autonomous and comfortable with matrix setup.
  • Excellent project management skill.
