Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is hiring a Region Manager for the Southern Region for branches from Pleasant Grove to Salem.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership for region with focus on financial management, business development, and credit quality.
- Manage performance of the relationship managers and branches. Including quality loan and deposit growth with responsibility for profitability and product pricing of the region.
- Supervise branch performance to recognize success and assist in areas of deficiency.
- Work with executive management and other senior leaders to recommend, promote and grow products and services for the division. Analyzing customer relationships and referral opportunities while working directly with customers and prospects to increase revenue.
- Conduct meetings to include all appropriate staff to ensure effective communication between staff and sub-departments.
- Monitor required training for subordinate staff.
- Leads and manages projects pertinent to responsibilities.
- Hires and manages competent relationship managers and oversees onboarding and training.
- Manage high level customer complaints referred to President with the guidance of senior management to limit reputation and monetary risk to bank.
- Coordinates across departments to ensure associates and customers are served.
- Maintains Business Continuity Plan for region and ensures branches follow BCP.
- Provide guidance and supportive work environment for team while providing educational opportunities coordinating with training department to improve associate training.
- Monitor work responsibilities of staff; mentor staff while maintaining a positive work environment. Ensures teams have development plans and coaches for improvement.
- Holds regular one on ones with direct reports and periodic skip-level one on ones.
- Represent the region on committees as assigned.
- Review and decision loan requests within approval authority, assisting with loan structure and ensure loan policy is adhered to.
- Ensure loan monitoring and reports are filed prior to deadlines including pipeline reports, covenant reporting, monthly past due reports, maturing loan reports, loan grading certifications, annual relationship reviews, and problem loan reports.
- Coordinate and communicate company policies and strategy to ensure successful implementation.
- Serve as one of the primary contacts for credit audit findings and coordinate responses and resolution with lending teams.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Service Quality – maintain and improve service level agreements and provide extraordinary and consistent service to all internal and external customers. Listens to and asks about customers needs.
- Participates in required training, staff meetings, and continued education.
- Participate in Community Service and Bank-sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of Altabank. Assists in achieving CRA objectives for the bank.
- Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel).
- Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s).
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, Fair Lending, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
- Represent Altabank in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs. Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy.

About You
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five years banking (related) experience required.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Leadership experience
- Credit Underwriting and Lending experience.
- Ability to mentor relationship managers and drive sales.
- A high level of banking knowledge desired.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
- Leadership and Management experience focusing on culture and accountability.
- Ability to analyze and improve customer service and processes
- Ability to develop and elevate cultural improvements with direct reports, teams, and all bankers
- High degree of attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skill(s) to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze loan request and make prudent credit decisions conforming with policy and mitigating risk of any exceptions.
- Must have ability to prioritize and organize heavy workload(s) and demonstrate effective time management skill(s).
- Must have the ability to work in a professional manner and consistently demonstrate courtesy, customer service, and tact in a fast-paced/deadlines-oriented environment.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately: perform effectively under pressure; meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines and make decisions based on regulation(s), company policy(s), customer service, knowledge and experience.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to understand, follow, and effectively communicate complex written and oral instructions.
- Computer skill with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, ten-key, and general computer applications.
- Working knowledge of standard office equipment.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.
Must be capable of occasional travel (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.

Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
