Supervisor: Principal or Designee
Classification: Classified - Hourly
No supervision or evaluation of other staff
FTE: 1.00 (7:30 AM to 4:00 PM - 8 Hours Per Day)

This position is temporary beginning August 21, 2023 through December 15, 2023.
Salary is based on experience as per the Classified Salary Schedule - Level M, plus a comprehensive benefit package.
Job Goal:
The Student Center Coordinator oversee the programs and students in the GHS Student Center. The position requires responsibility, flexibility, data and records tracking, student management and motivation.

Gladstone offers stipends for classified staff based on educational experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Human relations skills.
- Experience operating computers, general office equipment and maintaining a filing system.
- Ability to work well with students, parents and staff.
- A college degree or equivalent and pertinent job experience.
- Documented record of accuracy, reliability and initiative.
- Ability to learn or knowledge of ESD computer system.
Essential Functions:
- Provide a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff and community.
- Supervise students assigned to the center.
- Motivate students for completion and success in credit acquisition. Recognize the needs of students in the center.
- Assists the student in developing improved academic skills.
- Work with administration, counselors, teachers, and other staff to coordinate interventions and support for students. Clear communication about student progress.
- Supervise/monitor students completing computer-based credit recovery.
- Supervise/monitor students completing proficiency-based credit recovery.
- Supervise/monitor students completing make up testing.
- Prevent and report any dishonesty or impropriety in testing.
- Assist students, answering questions of students in a variety of subjects, including English Language Arts, Math, and Science as is needed.
- Conduct/assist in state required testing. Administer work sample opportunities as needed.
- Become the lead/liaison in the computer-based credit recovery program.
- Track and record student progress towards completion of programs and testing.
- Work for de-escalation of students. Provide a quiet place of support.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the Center

Salary : $38,700 - $49,000
