Trivantage a division of Glen Raven Inc is recruiting for a Senior Buyer. The Senior Buyer is charged with managing suppliers to optimize cost, quality and service and monitoring supplier performance. The Senior Buyer is also responsible for supporting new product introductions/changes and may be required to lead project teams.

Responsibilities:
- Set-up and maintain item and vendor information in warehouse system. Maintaining appropriate files and records of meetings with suppliers to ensure company requirements are met and that the supplier is aware of their performance.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and invoice variances.
- Communicate with Purchasing Manager project status or any items for which Manager deems pertinent.
- Work with Accounting in regard to invoice discrepancy resolution.
- Manage the supplier base to insure the lowest cost, best quality and service.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities in support of Trivantage objectives.
- Negotiate pricing and terms including the initiation and management of the RFQ process.
- Work closely with Business Development, Sales and Marketing to develop and market new products.
- Issue requests for quotes (RFQ) and select best source consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements. Negotiate and manage long term pricing agreements on critical commodities.
- Act as liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement related problems.
- Process non-conforming material requests and RMA requests with supply chain partners.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other job related tasks as needed; enabling other workers to achieve their job objectives.
Education and Experience:
- College Degree with emphasis in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Finance preferred or equivalent combination of education and training.
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) a plus.
- Seven to 10 years of purchasing and planning experience including purchasing, inventory control, contract negotiation, supply management, and supplier relationships.
- Strong interpersonal skills along with good verbal and written communication skills required are required.
- Ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Ability to responds consistently with a high degree of initiative to resolve issues or complex problems that may arise.
- Ability to maintain positive company image and brand.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Efficient organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills. Proficient with Office suite and other work-related software.
