What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mgr, Central Sterile Processing position at Glens Falls Hospital?
Responsible for the operational functions of Central Sterile Processing (CSP), including, but not limited to, supervising the activities of the department’s personnel, educating and training of the CSP technicians, adhering to budgetary guidelines, working with patient care managers to promote quality patient care and having concern for appropriate utilization of resources.
Bachelor’s degree preferred at time of hire, and is required within five (5) years of hire date.
Graduate of Sterile Processing Program.
Five (5) years of experience in Central Sterile Processing.
Two (2) years supervisory/management experience required.
Must be certified as a Sterile Processing Technician. Must demonstrate expertise with a variety of Central Sterile Processing concepts, practices and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrates ability to work with employees at all levels within the organization.
Certifications/Registration:
Certification as CSPDT (CBSPD) or CRCST (IAHCSMM)
