What You Will Do as the Director of Staff Development

As a Stonerise Director of Staff Development, you are responsible for assessing the training needs of the nursing team and to develop, implement, evaluate, and document staff development programs including general orientation, job-specific orientation, in-service, and continuing education programs for the nursing team.
As a Stonerise Director of Staff Development, some of your primary responsibilities include:
Developing, implementing, and maintaining a written annual staff development plan. Reviewing with the Administrator, Director of Nursing (DON), and Medical Director to provide approval
Participating in general orientation process coordinating with other departments
Coordinating job specific orientation to familiarize and train new nursing team hires on the expectations of the job
Acting as preceptor, coach, and resource person to assist the nursing team to successfully complete orientation
Assisting in planning, coordinating, and conducting required in-service programs and/or special training sessions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and/or corporate requirements
Collaborating with other nursing and center leadership, through center QAPI to complete periodic assessment to identify ongoing learning needs of team and assisting in developing educational programs to meet these needs
Maintaining appropriate documentation of educational programming, including individual employee’s attendance at educational programs and competency validation as needed
Demonstrating and reviewing new equipment with the nursing team
Providing supervision and oversight during training of employees to ensure skills are performed correctly
Scheduling, coordinating, or conducting CPR training to allow for current certification
Conducting Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training programs in accordance with required rules and regulations

Salary : $28,000 - $35,500
