Overview
Reports To: Insurance Services Supervisor
Primary Functions: Perform departmental administrative functions and provide member service relating to group insurance and debt cancellation programs.

Qualifications
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not Applicable
Experience/Skills: Six months experience in a service related position with a multi-line telephone. Must have basic typing and 10-key calculator skills and be familiar with personal computers, Microsoft Word and Excel, and web-based applications. Must demonstrate the ability to provide excellent service and communication in person and via telephone and email, demonstrate a mastery of English speaking and comprehension, and utilize active listening skills. Must possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to exercise discretionary judgment.
Tenure: Insurance Services Specialist II, category 14, requires six months as an Insurance Services Specialist I with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Insurance Services Specialist III, category 13, requires twelve months as an Insurance Services Specialist II with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Senior Insurance Services Specialist, category 12, requires twelve months as an Insurance Services Specialist III with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.
Compensation
Salary Pay Range:
- Insurance Services Specialist I (Category 15): $38,412 - $55,312 annually
- Insurance Services Specialist II (Category 14): $41,484 - $60,567 annually
- Insurance Services Specialist III (Category 13): $44,803 - $66,309 annually
- Senior Insurance Services Specialist (Category 12): $48,387 - $73,549 annually
Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.
In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
