GLOBE STAR is a Gentle Teaching-based agency in northwest Indiana, providing direct, human services for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities since 1996.

The design and delivery of services and programs at Globe Star demonstrate the principles and practices of GENTLE TEACHING, a philosophy of non-violence that adheres to professional standards of compassion when interacting with others.

Qualifications:

• Interest in the commitment to serve and improve the quality of life for individuals with developmental, physical, or mental disabilities.
• Be kind, compassionate, and caring.
• Be of good moral character.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current drivers license and proper vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and review services for all individuals.
• Supervise all Mentoring/Behavior records.
• Conduct assessments as needed.
• Facilitate multi-disciplinary team programs.
• Ensure Human Rights reporting.
• Coordinate individual mentoring plans with home and day programs.
• Facilitate and implement programs to promote interdependent functioning.
• Attend professional meetings and workshops.
• Promote the Globe Star mission.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
