JOB DESCRIPTION: HR Manager of People & Culture
Position Summary:
Build the people and culture capability of the Glorious Cannabis Company’s Massachusetts operations facilities in both Uxbridge and Medway; lead and manage an effective human resources function to support management of the employee lifecycle. Serves as a strategic and tactical business partner to the Operations leadership team. Assist in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee handbooks, communications, and/or meetings.
Position reports to VP People & Culture.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of a robust culture through role modeling Glorious Cannabis Company’s values and the behaviors which drive this culture.
- Acts as a business partner to the Operations leadership team for two sites(Medway and Uxbridge)
- Ensure alignment and adherence with compliance and regulatory agency requirements (e.g. EEOC, Human Rights, OFCCP and OSHA)
- Contributes to the development of, recommends and administers HR policies and procedures; maintains and updates handbook on policies and procedures; adhering to local state and federal compliance mandates.
- Liaise with Talent Acquisition Team on all staffing and facilitates all Massachusetts on-boarding processes for two locations (Medway and Uxbridge).
- Working knowledge and understanding of the various employee benefit programs including health insurance, workers’ compensation, and 401k.
- Maintains required local, state, federal and departmental records, postings and reports including I-9, EEO, FMLA and OSHA record keeping requirements.
- Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings.
- Develops and conducts various training modules
- Assists with recruitment effort for exempt, nonexempt and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program, employee relations counseling, employee engagement and retention programs, and exit interviews
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements/Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of 5 years human resources experience.
- Considerable knowledge of HR principles practices and procedures related to employee relations, compensation and legal compliance
- Well organized and self-directed individual; team player
- Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all employees
- Adept at handling sensitive employee relations matters
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
