JOB DESCRIPTION: HR Manager of People & Culture

Position Summary:

Build the people and culture capability of the Glorious Cannabis Company’s Massachusetts operations facilities in both Uxbridge and Medway; lead and manage an effective human resources function to support management of the employee lifecycle. Serves as a strategic and tactical business partner to the Operations leadership team. Assist in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee handbooks, communications, and/or meetings.

Position reports to VP People & Culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of a robust culture through role modeling Glorious Cannabis Company’s values and the behaviors which drive this culture.
  • Acts as a business partner to the Operations leadership team for two sites(Medway and Uxbridge)
  • Ensure alignment and adherence with compliance and regulatory agency requirements (e.g. EEOC, Human Rights, OFCCP and OSHA)
  • Contributes to the development of, recommends and administers HR policies and procedures; maintains and updates handbook on policies and procedures; adhering to local state and federal compliance mandates.
  • Liaise with Talent Acquisition Team on all staffing and facilitates all Massachusetts on-boarding processes for two locations (Medway and Uxbridge).
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the various employee benefit programs including health insurance, workers’ compensation, and 401k.
  • Maintains required local, state, federal and departmental records, postings and reports including I-9, EEO, FMLA and OSHA record keeping requirements.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings.
  • Develops and conducts various training modules
  • Assists with recruitment effort for exempt, nonexempt and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program, employee relations counseling, employee engagement and retention programs, and exit interviews
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements/Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of 5 years human resources experience.
  • Considerable knowledge of HR principles practices and procedures related to employee relations, compensation and legal compliance
  • Well organized and self-directed individual; team player
  • Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all employees
  • Adept at handling sensitive employee relations matters

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Uxbridge, MA 02053: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
