GLP Attorneys, P.S., Inc., an established and respected plaintiff’s personal injury law firm, seeks a Legal Assistant to join our team based out of our Bellingham office. This is an in-office position.

Your role as a Legal Assistant encompasses a wide range of tasks. You will set up new client files, communicate with various parties, manage medical bill payments, address client queries, conduct client reviews, handle client correspondence, manage case records, assist in PIP claims, and ensure account balances are accurate, among other tasks. Your contributions significantly impact the outstanding results we deliver for our clients.
In this position, you will:
- Work closely with your legal team(s), which typically consists of an Attorney and a Paralegal.
- Legal Assistants are responsible for providing a broad range of administrative and operational support to assist their assigned legal team(s) in effectively and efficiently carrying out managing their cases.
Qualified candidates should have experience including:
- Minimum of 1 year of legal assistant or professional office work experience is required.
- Competence at Microsoft Office products.
- Preference is given to those experience in plaintiff's personal injury.
- Being self-motivated and can multi-task.
- Is team and client-oriented.
- Can balance being detail-oriented with productivity and efficiency.
- A strong writer and familiarity with drafting correspondence.
- Being comfortable with talking to healthcare providers and clients.

GLP Attorneys determines the compensation for positions using local, national, and industry-specific data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wages in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our firm. For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Compensation will be based on the applicant's location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
The hourly base pay range for a non-exempt Legal Assistant in North Washington is $21.00 - $23.50. This position is bonus eligible.
GLP Attorneys proudly offers a competitive total rewards package. In addition to the base rate and bonuses, the firm provides employees with vision, dental, medical/rx insurance (with the option to open a health savings account), life insurance, a firm-sponsored employee assistance program, and a 401(k)-retirement plan with a discretionary safe harbor and profit-sharing feature. GLP Attorneys sponsors 90% of the employee premium for those enrolled on the HSA medical plan ($3k deductible), 75% for the base plan ($1k deductible), and 75% for the buy-up plan ($750 deductible). The firm sponsors 25% of all medical dependent coverage. GLP Attorneys sponsors 75% of the employee premium for those enrolled on the vision plan and 25% for those enrolled on a dental plan. Employees are responsible for the premiums for dependent coverage on the vision and dental plans.
