Responsibilities
About this role?
As an API Developer, you will ...
- Analyze, design, develop, as well as implement RESTful services and APIs
- Be involved in the development life cycle and perform definition and feasibility analysis
- Implement, integrate, and document a variety of software platforms through the REST API framework
- Apply the latest software design techniques and contribute to the technical design of new solutions
- Modify existing programs, prepare test data and functional specifications
- Ttroubleshoot issues and solve problems, identify potential process improvement areas
- Implement common APIs based on architecture guidelines and frameworks
- Deploy API CI/CD implementation using automation tools for testing, standards, and security compliance
Qualifications
What Makes You a Dream Candidate?
- Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud services, and associated API platform software
- Hands-on experience in web services-RESTful / SOAP
- Familiarity with code versioning tools, like Git
- Hands-on experience in HTML5 & CSS
- Detailed understanding and working experience of standardized API style guides (Naming Conventions, Structure Standardization, versioning, Error Handling Standardization, Format Support), API standards
- Knowledge of Restful API design patterns
- Sound knowledge of implementing JMS messaging services
- Understanding of how Information Security fits within the IT architecture and infrastructure
Experience
- 5 - 7 years’ experience in developing IT Solutions
- 3 - 5 years’ experience implementing large scale API based solutions with ESB/API tooling
- Bachelor’s Degree
