We are looking to add a valued employee to our team with experience as a Leasing Consultant/Assistant Manager. In this role, you will be working part-time with a small team of professionals at our Happy Valley Community, Stevens Creek Apartments (139 units) and spend the remainder of the week assisting across our local portfolio (Vancouver, Aloha, and Bethany). The ideal candidate enjoys working in a team environment and can approach residents, prospects, vendors and peers positively and professionally. We seek employees who are willing to grow their skillsets and learn and maintain knowledge of fair housing and landlord tenant laws. This employee will play an important role in the management of our assets. They will work closely with our Community Managers to navigate daily tasks and continuously gain knowledge and experience through in-house training processes and annual training.

We believe candidates with the following Experience, Skills, Attributes and Education will be the best fit for our Floating Leasing Consultant/Assistant Manager.

Position: Floating Leasing Consultant/Assistant Manager, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm or 9:00am to 5:30pm, with occasional after-hours, pre-scheduled community events.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Answer prospect/resident communications via phone, email and in-person
  • Tour apartments/community and consistently convert tours to executed leases
  • Prepare documentation for move-ins and move-outs
  • Monitor and issue lease renewals
  • Issue necessary notices to residents
  • Contribute marketing strategies to generate traffic, maximize rents and retain quality residents
  • Follow-up with prospective residents
  • General office/clerical duties: filing, sorting emails, delivering notices to residents as directed
  • Minimize vacancy, delinquency, bad debts, and any other related losses
  • Shop competitive apartment communities and assist in compiling market survey
  • Ensure the Leasing Office and/or Clubhouse is maintained in a clean and orderly manner

Secondary Functions

  • Monitor and coordinate resident maintenance requests
  • Inspect community and vacant units as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
  • Assist in coordinating/hosting community events

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Interpersonal Contacts

  • Continuous contact with prospects, residents, staff and vendors
  • Ability to communicate in written and oral word in a clear, concise and positive manner

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required

Job Conditions:

  • Office environment with frequent exposure to weather conditions for showing apartments and conducting property inspections
  • Ability to work overtime or unscheduled hours as required
  • On-Call weekend and evening work may be required
