Godley Station Dental in Pooler, GA is looking for a full time team member to join our front desk team. Godley Station Dental was started by Dr. Matthew Allen in 2004 and has not stopped growing. We now have four Dentists and nine dental hygienists. We pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our patients.

We are looking for a Treatment Coordinator to assist with answering phones, checking patients in and out, making appointments, confirming schedules, helping patients' understand their dental insurance and coverage with needed dental treatment. We are looking for a team member with stellar customer service skills in our fast paced office.

Summary: The Treatment Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to facilitate the patient’s office experience in being seamless and ensure the patient leaves well informed of their conditions and prepared for their next appointment. This includes developing rapport with the patient and ensuring that they understand their treatment plan, the benefits of the treatment, the consequences of inaction, insurance benefits, assisting with financial arrangements and coordination of appointments.

  • Verify/update the patient information is correct
  • Verify proper paperwork has been filled out and linked to patient's chart
  • Maintaining the appearance of front desk areas
  • Send paperwork by text patients that need forms
  • Check referral source on completed paperwork and mark it in Open Dental
  • Respond to patient text messages on FLEX
  • Confirm the schedule for the Doctors
  • Fill open time on the Doctors’ schedules including follow up with patients who did not schedule treatment
  • Schedule appointments from phones, text messages and emails, goal of 90% new patient appointment rate - schedule Doctors productively with goal of $640-$800 per hour with 65% case acceptance
  • Prepare and present treatment plans and financial estimates to patients for prescribed treatment
  • Collect patient portions of treatment that is done or has been done
  • Arrange payment plans when needed, go over third party financing options
  • Walk out all procedures that were done on each patient the day of service for all appointments
  • Scan documents and input information into patients’ charts, linking FLEX if needed
  • Return messages to patients when needed
  • Balance terminal at the end of the day
  • Chart audit to ensure paperwork is linked, all information is in Open Dental, ensure appointments are scheduled appropriately, correct fee schedules are applied, check for balances and be prepared to collect
  • Input information into patients’ charts for insurance and paperwork
  • Help other patient coordinators with unfinished duties
  • Answer phones as back up to Loyalty Center
  • Effectively communicate and develop a strong working relationship with the doctors to promote cooperative and professional behaviors
  • Adhere to confidentiality, state, federal and HIPPA laws as they relate to patients privacy
  • Follow and demonstrate commitment to the Godley Station Dental policies, professional expectations and Service Excellence Standards
  • Other Duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Clinical experience in a dental practice with knowledge of dental insurance and dental procedures is preferred; training or education in these areas will be considered. Preferred 1 year of dental experience.
  • Experience with Open Dental (preferred) or Dentrix
  • Preferred experience with FLEX and Treatment24Seven
  • Proficient in basic computer applications with the ability to learn new software
  • Demonstrate ability to perform basic arithmetic to understand general ledger and insurance benefits
  • Superior writing skills including use of proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Strong organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and prioritization abilities.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Motivating team player and leader

Education Requirements:

Minimum GED or High School Diploma

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
