Mid-size e-commerce retailer in Midtown NYC is seeking a Receptionist / Office Manager or Administrator to join our team. We're looking for a dedicated and committed self-starter who is willing to work for an expanding company. The candidate must be capable of working in a fast paced office environment with an ability to be timely and accurate. The ideal individual must be able to handle confidential matters with discretion, exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, and be flexible in responding to shifting priorities. Good communication skills are a must.
Position is 9am-6pm, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all office supplies and inventory
- Sorting mail and other deliveries
- Schedule maintenance and repairs
- Organize lunches and company events
- Utilize Outlook for daily e-mails, tasks, and to update conference room calendars
- Ad havoc administrative duties such as sorting and filing documents
- Make company travel arrangements
- Answer incoming calls and greet guests
Skills and qualifications:
- Preferably 2 years of experience as administrative assistant, receptionist or office manager
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills required
- Must be computer literate and experienced in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and administrative skills
- Responsible, self-motivated, and reliable individual
- Strong work ethic and a "can-do" attitude
