This role will support design and development activities in an automotive industry.
\n- Support Mechanical Design and Engineering activities for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
- Support the engineering activities for large scale automotive development programs by investigating feasibility, performing design using CATIA V5/V6, conduct layout review, drawing creating, and negotiation with surrounding component business unites as needed.
- Interact with other groups like Design, Stress, Testing to share and review designs
- Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs.
- Travel to client sites required.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2 year relevant industry experience OR Associate degree with 3-4 yrs of CAD experience
- Education with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing.
- Experience using 3-D modeling software tools (CATIA V5/V6 required).
- Knowledge on Honda systems & Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) systems are plus
- Design Explanation and Documentation skills
- Knowledge of Design and Manufacturing for Sheet Metal stamp/forming, Injection Molding, Stress/Strain/Vibration analysis, Wiring diagrams/circuitry & DFM are preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS office
