Summary:

 

Goldbelt C6, LLC is seeking a Health Scientist I to provide program support, technical evaluation expertise, and services for activities related to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Division of Diabetes Translation, and the Translation, Health Education and Evaluation Branch mission.  

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and provide scientific expertise to coordinate, plan, implement and evaluate scientific program activities to ensure that efforts in assigned program areas meet the needs of the public to satisfy the goals and objectives of the program.
  • Evaluates proposed or continuing work against specified goals and objectives and provide technical and administrative advice and recommendations for improvement.
  • Interprets and applies guidelines, assesses program effectiveness, and analyzes and resolves unusual issues or problems.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills & Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the rules, procedures, and principles that govern intramural and extramural program development, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Experience developing a program logic model, identifying appropriate program outcomes, facilitating stakeholder meetings, and providing technical assistance or training on evaluation, methods, concepts, and tools.
  • Experience conducting a systematic assessment of a program or project’s inputs, activities, and outputs to determine its value or worth and to improve the program.
  • Experience creating an evaluation plan, identifying evaluation questions and indicators, collecting, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative program data, interpreting the data in the context of the program, and reporting findings
  • Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint).
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making; capable of working independently with ability to multitask successfully.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in interpersonal exchanges.
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Epidemiology, or related field.
  • Minimum three (3) or more years of experience in public health, health sciences research, program evaluation, and performance measurement.
  • Must have experience utilizing and managing CDC Administrative Systems (HUMAN SUBJECTS, OMB AND IRB, and E-Clearance) efficiently and effectively.
  • Previous experience maintaining official documents and records within the federal government.
  • Previous experience working with government procedures and guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of project management systems and application of project management software.
  • Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.

 

The pay range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 per year.

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
