Responsibilities

Responsibilities:Under the supervision of the Risk Manager, the incumbent is responsible for assisting in the implementation of the Risk Management Program.

• Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
• Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
• Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
• Assist the Risk Manager in claims related to employee (Workers Compensation) and visitor (General Liability) incidents, ensuring prompt and accurate action to minimize exposure and liability.
• Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
• Assist in the implementation of Golden Nugget’s safety program. Knowledge of OSHA standards, Hotel, Security Laws, and Health Department Regulations.
• Process accident and injury reports in a timely manner.
• Review Risk Department activities and claims with the Risk Manager.
• Follow up with patrons and employees with the objective of resolving claims and other potential users.
• Assist in performing safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and to ensure safety regulation and compliance.
• Stay abreast of current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports and employees as appropriate.
• Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Safeguard the confidential information of all employee, department and company records.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
• Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
• Paralegal experience preferred.
• Minimum of four (2) years of Risk and Benefits experience in a high volume casino/hotel complex environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
