Lead Custodian
Goldey-Beacom College
Summary: Goldey-Beacom College is seeking a confident and motivated individual to join the Facilities Department as a Lead Custodian. The holder of this position will support the Director of Facilities and Plant Operations by providing lead responsibilities during weekend and assigned shifts. Must be able to work weekends on a regular basis. The Lead Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all Goldey-Beacom College campus facilities.

Key Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:
- General custodial responsibilities, including but not limited to: scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, trash collection, etc.
- Responsible for supervising, managing, and training all Maintenance Custodians.
- Applies cleaning chemicals according to established safety procedures.
- Adheres to safety measures for cleaning, lifting, moving and operating equipment.
- Maintain a written custodial and housekeeping schedule.
- Performs general custodial/preventative maintenance responsibilities, minor repairs and troubleshooting of equipment as circumstances require.
- Work as a team to complete tasks when necessary.
- Assures safety during inclement weather including shoveling, salting, providing slip protection on wet floors, etc.
- Lead weekend custodial team.

Position Category: Staff-Full-Time
Months per Year: 12 months
Hours per Week: 37.5, evening and weekend hours are required.
FLSA: Non-Exempt

Qualifications
Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three years of experience in the custodial field. Supervision in the custodial field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 25-50 pounds and climb a ladder. Lifting, pushing, pulling, standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, walking, talking, and hearing. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal and scanning purposes.
Salary : $40,000 - $45,000
