Golin Atlanta is looking for an Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll work with an integrated team of earned media, digital and creative professionals to support one of Golin’s top clients. You’ll support consumer campaigns, conduct events, and assist in brand reputation efforts. This role heavily supports Golin’s real-time newsroom – the Bridge – working side-by-side with members of the social media, media, and research team to identify and implement PR opportunities. You will also assist senior members in client management, new business, and account operations functions.

What You’ll Do
- Support day-to-day activities across several work streams and ensure team members are kept updated on client activities.
- Participate in client and account team interaction, assist in creating client meeting and call reports, activity reports, status documents, and results reports.
- Provide basic client counsel on tactical matters, with supervision, and develop client-facing activity reports and weekly status update documents.
- Develop client correspondence and reports based on monitoring of trends, media/social media coverage, etc.
- Have a strong eye for detail and quality control of ideas, client and team correspondence and plans, and media materials.
- Understand traditional media and digital/social media solutions, position them with clients in collaboration with subject-matter experts.
- Demonstrate strong editing and analytical skills, working collaboratively with our writers and designers on communications documents and creative work.
- Work with senior management, clients, and legal to secure approvals/client edits on all materials.
- Develop timelines, budgets and staffing plans for all projects and ensure team adheres to them and requests and provide proactive solutions.
- Foster and maintain productive and influential client relationships, anticipate client and team needs.
- Identify solutions and work with teams and independently to drive client success and grow relationships.
- Hold and set a high bar for executing sound ideas, flawless execution of client programs and internal project management.
- Serve as an integral member of the account team addressing the varied and changing needs of clients, proactively providing thoughtful ideas and solutions.
- Have a command of the business and use that knowledge to collaborate with internal team members to develop and execute ideas and campaigns, becoming a “go-to” for your team and your client.
- Working closely with media relations experts to provide media counsel as well as develop ideas that are “media-able.”
- Oversee the daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring and reporting for clients.
- Help manage the budget, manage timely billing and reporting, and work with Agency finance team.
- Provide media support, coordinate logistics and assist with media material creation and outreach.
- Monitor and track client, competitor, industry, and cultural news and share with team.
- Craft and edit on-message content, spot opportunities, glean insights, and brainstorm action plans.
- Begin building relationships with media contacts/outlets/influencers.
What You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, business, English, journalism, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience, ideally at a Public Relations or Integrated Marketing Agency.
- Experience supporting a food/beverage client a plus.
- Passion for client service and an ability to juggle multiple projects and changing priorities.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and problem-solving skills.
- A mix of account management, media relations and/or digital experience.
- Experience working with influencer networks, individual influencers and influencer-identification, management, and measurement tools.
- Experience creating and executing paid social and digital campaigns across social channels such as Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Ability to execute and measure multifaceted campaigns and day-to-day communications initiatives.
- A strong understanding of digital and content marketing strategies, ability to integrate campaign elements across earned, owned, and paid media
- Can apply analytics to measure results and provide insights.

- Highly organized, with the ability to meet individual and team priorities and client deadlines.
